Back in 2007, whilst working on a support desk, we often found that although we all enjoyed drinking tea and coffee, nobody particularly enjoyed making it, and so BrewBuddy was born.

The first version was written in Flash and let's be honest, didn't look the best, but it served it's purpose for over 7 years, until 2014, when i decided it would be a good idea to rewrite it in a more flexable language, and use it as a learning curve.

So, BrewBuddy v2.0 is here, written in HTML5 and javascript, runs in most modern browsers (although IE does lose some formatting) and currently has the choice of either a roulette style game or a car race, both great fun.

Instructions

Simply click the Add Player button until you have enough boxes to accommodate the number of regular players, then type the name of each player in the boxes. The tick box next to each name determines if the player is in this round, only ticked players will be in the game. Once this is done, select your game type (roulette or cars) and click "Run Game", then on the next screen, click start. The game will then randomly select somebody to make the drinks. And this can be used for other things too, it doesn't have to be limited to making the drinks, it could determine who's turn it is to get up in the night to feed the crying baby, or who should take the dog for a walk on the cold winters night, the possibilities are endless.

This page uses local storage to remember the players in the boxes, so next time you come here on the PC you are currently on the names will be populated for you, simply un-tick the people that aren't playing.
